Yves OVELACQ is a photographer based in Kortrijk (Belgium). He shoots a diverse range of subjects, all with a clean and elegant aesthetic.

Yves started photography when I was 11 years old and fell in love with it. At the time he was an “assistant” in the darkroom of his father and it was magic of seeing the pictures come out of nowhere onto the photographic paper. Many hours were spent in the attic of his parents house in the semi-dark!

After founding his family  and the birth of his children the passion of photography revived as  he wanted to keep these happy memories forever.

Yves first started exclusively with family and landscapes, but over times decided that all beauty was worth a picture and included also street photography, portraits, real estate and other genres.

Today all genres of photography intrest him. He enjoys not only the overall photographic experience but moreover the interaction, meeting fantastic people, the happy smiles he sees of the persons he photographs, the satisfaction of his clients with the quality, sharing experiences with other photographers or photographers “in spe”, giving masterclasses, discovering wonderful places,… Of course he works now wiht professional gear such as Fuji, Sony and Leica.
