Yves OVELACQ is a photographer based in Kortrijk (Belgium). He shoots a diverse range of subjects for commercial and non-commerciam clients, all with a clean and elegant aesthetic.

I started photography when I was 11 years old and fell in love with it. At the time I was an “assistant” in the darkroom of my father and it was magic of seeing the pictures come out of nowhere onto the photographic paper. Many hours were spent in the attic of my parents house in the semi-dark!

After founding my family  and the birth of our children the passion of photography revived as  I wanted to keep these happy memories forever.

I invested then with a moderate budget in photography gear. First exclusively family and landscapes, but over times I decided that all beauty was worth a picture and included also street photography, portraits and other genres.

Today all genres of photography intrest me. I enjoy not only the overall photographic experience but moreover the interaction, meeting fantastic people, the happy smiles I see of the persons I photograph, the satisfaction of my clients with the quality, pro deo work for Rotary or other good causes, sharing experiences with other photographers or photographers “in spe”, discover wonderful places,… Of course I also professionalized my gear and I am now working with Fuji, Sony and Leica.
